We are Kentuckians and the recent flooding has devastated many in our state, including Pikeville. Coach Lawson and Mrs. Lawson from East Jessamine High are Pikeville natives, and have felt a deep calling to help the people of their hometown. We are joining their call to support one another during such a difficult time. In Jessamine County, we believe in being Connected Citizens by understanding the needs of others, giving back, and making a meaningful impact. This is more than just a collection. It’s about community, about showing compassion, and about using our resources to support those in need. We are collecting donations to support those affected, and we invite our entire Jessamine family to join us in this effort. Let’s fill a bus and share our love and kindness.

Congratulations to WJHS Lady Colts basketball coach, Matt Hilkens for being named the 12th Region Coach of the Year!

Join us in celebrating Ms. Kristen Harris, the WJMS 2025 Teacher of the Year! 🎉👏 Kristen's dedication, passion & ability to build meaningful connections with students inspire them to reach their full potential. We're grateful for her commitment to education and the impact she makes every day. Congratulations, Ms. Harris!

Could it be a more perfect day for a Chili Cook-Off?!? The staff at EJHS had a great time of fellowship and food for lunch today while watching the snow outside!

JCS Custodial Services took advantage of Presidents' Day staff development to receive important updates and enhance their skills - a great example of lifelong learning and continuous improvement. Thank you for your dedication to keeping our learning environments clean and safe!

East High loves supporting their Jaguars! #SpiritWeek

The EJHS counselors are visiting social studies classrooms this week to help students enter their course requests for next year! It’s amazing to see how student choices shape EJHS's master schedule and the courses they offer. Here in Jessamine County, we love giving students the power to design an academic experience that fits their goals and interests!

Spirit Week MVP? When East High said Old People theme for Spirit Week, Coach Fields took it WAY back...Ancient Rome back! Dressed as Caesar himself, he's ruling the hallways with wisdom, leadership, and maybe a little intimidation...

❤️ GO RED for Women Day!!! ❤️
Ms. Napier's Medicaid Nurse Aide students wore red on Friday and celebrated American Heart Association's Go Red for Women Day with a mini health fair!
Visitors from across the district came to the health fair and received education about heart disease and stroke. Each visitor received handouts with information to maintain a healthy heart. They also had the chance to have a set of vital signs taken by the MNA students! Visitors and students came by and signed the names of their loved ones on the Go Red heart, pledging their support to continued awareness for heart health. 🫶🏻
So proud of these amazing students for educating others and making a difference in their community!

It's Spirit Week at East High for the East VS West game on Friday. Yesterday's theme was White Lies and Mrs. Fredrick and Ms. Buss nailed it!

JELV is incredibly proud of our kindergarten teams for their intentional and dedicated teaching, which has led to significant gains in both reading and math on the iReady mid-year diagnostic assessment!

Join us this Friday night as we celebrate these Jessamine County Athletic Hall of Fame inductees and honor their achievements & contributions! #ProudTradition #CelebratingExcellence

It's Kindness Week and our students and staff are spreading positivity, love, and compassion throughout our schools and community. From simple acts like lending a helping hand to sharing words of encouragement, kindness makes a big difference. Let's make this week—and every week—filled with kindness!

A huge congratulations to all of our East and West High School All State students in choir, band, and guitar!
Thank you to our amazing teachers for showcasing and pushing our student artists to excellence!

EJHS's favorite choir and band directors at KMEA! Two amazing people who are relentless when it comes to supporting our students!

"Will I ever use this concept in the real world?" Today, Mrs. Hannah Oliver's students found out, they will! Students used trigonometry to measure the height of a tree, light pole and the school building. Real world applications are the best! Thanks, Mrs. Oliver, for helping our students make sense of the world around them using math concepts!

Check it out! These outstanding JCS administrators are inspiring educators across the region to multiply success in math instruction! BES Principal Nick Schuerman and CRA Toni Dix, along with NES Principal Brandean Kenealy, and CRA Brittany Cox were recognized for their innovative leadership in Math when they were featured as i-Ready February Educator Panelists. 👏 Great leadership always adds up to success! #Proud #InnovativeEducators #Represent #WeAreJessamine

NES did a stellar job hosting District Governor's Cup on Saturday. Students and families were so complimentary. Thanks to all of our coaches and volunteers from all schools as well, including JCS Coordinator, Emily Hayden!

Yesterday was our 100th day of school! 🎉 From creative costumes to special activities, our students and staff celebrated 100 days of learning, growth, and fun. Here’s to many more great days ahead!🎈 #100DaysOfSchool #KeepLearning #CelebrateSuccess
