The JCS Bass Fishing Team is on a mission to fill a boat to the brim with winter coats for those in need right here in Jessamine County. As the weather gets colder, your donation of a new or gently used coat can make a world of difference
We couldn't be prouder of our Bass Fishing Team for organizing this drive. Seeing our students step up as compassionate, connected citizens to support their neighbors is truly inspiring.

JCS Arts kicked off the performance season in style and is going strong!

Big thanks to our JCS family members who worked hard over Fall Break to keep our district moving forward! Our custodial and maintenance teams used this time to ensure that when students and staff returned, everything was clean, safe, and running smoothly. Check out the before-and-after shots of the RDES gym floor and the spotless (during construction!) halls and gym at WJMS. Huge shoutout to Nick and his crew at RDES and David and his team at WJMS for their outstanding work!

Did you know? The last time the Jessamine County Board of Education increased the property tax rate was back in 2017–18 and since then, the rate has stayed the same or gone down. Next year's rate has been set at 67.8—the same as 2025.
We are committed to continuing to provide safe, modern schools and quality learning for every student—while being responsible stewards of your tax dollars.

We are so grateful for the hardworking folks who keep our schools clean, safe, and welcoming every single day. From classrooms to hallways, gyms to cafeterias, their care helps create the best possible learning environments for our students.
💙 Thank you for your dedication and the important role you play in the success of our schools!
Show some love for our incredible custodians! Leave a message of thanks in the comments.

Greek Drama Theatre Masks were created by the West Jessamine High School Theatre I class while studying The Golden Age of Greek Drama (5th Century BCE) and Sophocle’s play ANTIGONE. 🎭 Such great work!

In September, JELV students are spotlighting Work Ethic — doing their very best and not giving up, even when things get hard.
We love that our littles are learning to give their best effort and supporting their friends to do the same! #BuildConfidence #WorkEthic #JCSGradProfile

JELV teachers had their students talking math and explaining their thinking! Way to maximize your math HQIR to create meaningful learning moments!
