📚 Help Share the Joy of Reading! 📚
The Care Council is hosting the Jessamine Co. Book Drive from September 2nd to October 2nd! ✨
💙At its heart, this drive is to ensure that all JCS students have books at home to read together with their families! Books will be distributed to Kindergarten and 1st grade students in November during Parent Conference Day.
🎯The goal is to collect 150–200 books, and our community's support can help make it happen!
🤝How You Can Help
Donate: The Care Council is asking for new or gently-used children's books.
Drop-Off Locations: Look for collection bins at JCS Elementary School Libraries and the JCS Central Office.

They say the best teachers never stop learning, and it's true! ✨
Before the first bell rang and the halls filled up, our team was hard at work. spending the extra time soaking up new ideas, collaborating, and doing their homework before the big day.✏️
Now the roles have flipped, the classrooms are full, and our teachers are doing what they do best - leading the way. 🎉
Here’s to the prep work that makes the magic happen and a school year of learning on both sides of the whiteboard! 📚

All of those boxes pictured are full of donated supplies ready for our classrooms. We are so grateful for wonderful community partnerships like this that add a little extra support right when it means the most.

Once a Mustang, always a Mustang!🐴
Our district is defined by a rich history of dedicated leaders, educators, and staff who have poured their hearts into making our schools a welcoming home for generations.✨
Yesterday, Brookside Elementary had the honor of welcoming back the school’s very first principal, Mr. Carl Megee (1979-1996). Mr. Megee toured the halls with current principal Nick Schuerman and shared some amazing memories. 💙
Thank you to Mr. Megee and to all who laid the foundation for everything we do today.👏
