There is no higher compliment than being nominated by your own students, and Andrea's 8th-grade math classes made sure her hard work and dedication didn't go unnoticed.
We are so proud to have you on our JCS team, Mrs. Ramsey! 🌟 #JCSExcellence

We are excited to share that Brian Helton from West Jessamine Middle School has been named the 2026 JCS Middle School Outstanding Special Educator of the Year! 🏆
Whether he’s diving into 7th-grade Math or exploring Science, Brian’s dedication to his students shines through every single day. WJMS is so lucky to have you on the team. Congratulations, Brian! 👏✨

The WJHS Art Club recently took on a challenge to create a "meaningful story" through their work. Their muse? The one and only Mr. Daugherty.
Mr. D’s influence as a teacher and mentor radiates through our entire community. This beautiful tribute captures the gratitude we all feel for his years of dedication to our students.
Well done, Colts! We are so proud of your talent and the meaningful way you chose to honor a local legend. ✨

Our students aren’t just the future—they’re the leaders of today. 🤝
This week, Superintendent Crum’s Student Advisory Council met, and the energy was next level. From building leadership skills, to discussing the school calendar, and chiming in on new extracurriculars, these students are shaping the district they want to see.💡
A massive thank you to our council members for your drive and your vision. You make us better- because when we listen, we grow! 🌱

Congratulations to RDES for securing first place in the annual Superintendent's Cup and to our BES team for taking home the runner-up trophy! 🏆 All of our schools competed so well in this competition. Our academic team students and coaches make us so proud! 🤩

Leadership starts with taking care of the people who take care of our schools. 🧹✨
Yesterday our JCS Custodial Services Leaders spent some time at their Leadership Academy focusing on something incredibly important: mental health and stress management. Our team works hard behind the scenes to keep our environments safe and clean, and this training was all about ensuring they have the tools to stay balanced, resilient, and supported.
Huge thanks to our leaders for showing up for themselves and each other! 👏💪

It’s Kindness Week! This year’s theme is all about moving forward with empathy. Whether it’s a small gesture or a big act of support, every step counts toward a healthier, happier community.
To celebrate, we’re dropping our official "Mental Health Matters" T-shirts! 👕
By grabbing a shirt, you aren’t just spreading a message—you’re directly funding programs that keep our students safe and supported, including:
✅ Sources of Strength
✅ Anti-Bullying Campaigns
✅ Cyber Safety Initiatives
Every dollar of proceeds goes back into our district-wide mental health programming. Let’s walk the walk together.
🔗Get your shirt here: https://inkcave.com/product/you-matter-fundraiser/
Don't wait! The last day to order your shirt is February 22nd.

Our School Resource Officers are more than a badge. They are mentors, protectors, educators, and trusted adults our students can count on every single day. From morning high-fives and classroom safety lessons to quiet conversations when a student needs someone to listen, their impact reaches far beyond the hallways.
👮 Why we’re grateful for our SROs:
Safety First: They help create secure learning environments where students and staff can thrive.
Mentorship: They build meaningful relationships and guide students through challenges.
Daily Impact: They work tirelessly to ensure every child feels seen, heard, and safe.
Thank you to our SROs for being steady, positive forces in our schools. You don’t just patrol our halls — you help shape the future within them. 💙

It’s FRYSC Week! 🌟 From school supplies to family support, our Family Resource & Youth Services Centers remove barriers to learning every single day.
💙We’re so grateful for these dedicated professionals who level the hurdles so our students can keep running toward their dreams. 🏃♂️💨
Help us celebrate! Tag your school’s FRYSC coordinator in the comments and let them know how much they mean to you! 👇 #FRYSCWeek
