Wednesday, August 13th is the first day of school in JCS!
To all the students walking through those doors tomorrow, remember that you've got this! Embrace the new friends, the new lessons, and all the possibilities that this year holds.
To the parents/guardians sending their little (or not-so-little) ones off, take a deep breath. You've done an incredible job getting them ready, and now it's their time to shine.
And to the amazing teachers and staff, thank you for all you do. You're shaping the future one classroom at a time.
Wishing everyone a wonderful and successful school year ahead! Let's make it a great one. ❤️

A huge shout-out to our incredible student co-hosts and production crew who joined Superintendent Crum to kick off the school year for our staff today with a live morning show! It was the perfect mix of fun, inspiration & motivation to celebrate a new year of learning and growth.

Such a special group! Our EJHS Food Service workers are training to sharpen their skills and prepare for the year! They’re ready to serve up excellence and keep our kids full of energy!

WJMS hosted Middle School 101 today! Welcome, Colts!

Our East High faculty and staff are back and ready for the 2025-2026 School year!

Our JCS arts teachers had a great PLC yesterday at the Jessamine County Public Library. It was great to be back together to work on pacing guides, collaboration, and touring the JCPL creative space. It's going to be a great year!

Last night's back-to-school events were filled with laughter, a little learning, and a whole lot of love! The excitement is definitely building as we count down to the first day of school on August 13!

Check out the fantastic new structure that will provide shade for our Warner Elementary family when they return to school next week! Thanks to the incredible generosity of Warner's PTO, students now have a shaded outdoor classroom space right on the playground.
This new addition provides a flexible learning environment, protects students from the sun, and encourages more time outdoors for learning and play. We’re so grateful for our supportive community that helps our district enrich the educational experience and meet the needs of every student! 💙

Our East Jessamine High staff were excited for their first orientation for their Jaguars yesterday! One down, three more to go!

🏆 Huge congrats to JCTC's Elizabeth Crump for receiving the “Heart of the Classroom” award at the KACTE Summer Conference! She stirs up excellence daily in her culinary classroom, and this is a well-deserved honor. We’re so proud she's a member of the JCS family!

Yesterday, our East Jessamine High School Student Services Team came together with all JCS student services educators for our annual JCS back-to-school retreat! It was a powerful day of collaboration, planning, and professional growth. We participated in meaningful training sessions focused on how to better support our students academically, socially, and emotionally, because every Jaguar matters. We’re entering the school year united, energized, and ready to walk alongside our students every step of the way. Here’s to a strong start and an even stronger year!

If you've passed EJHS or WJHS lately, you've likely seen (and heard) our amazing band students hard at work! Before we even kick off 25-26, these dedicated performers are putting in the hours for a strong start to the season. We're excited for what's ahead! #BandLife #MarchOn

JCS welcomes Lauren Sommer as our district orchestra teacher! We are excited about continuing this program and we will be sharing additional information soon. Welcome, Ms Sommer!

Members of JCS Custodial Services come together with the West Middle team to move furniture and classroom supplies to the new portables. TEAMWORK on display!

Exciting times for our district high school bands!
Not only have both bands grown in numbers, but they're making great use of the new band towers!
We love seeing the growth in our arts programs!

Even during summer break, our incredible JCS school nurses are investing their time in quality local training at their annual KY School Nurses Association conference.--gaining valuable skills to better care for our students 🩺 We’re so grateful for their dedication all year long!💙 #SchoolNursesRock

ESY classrooms were filled with joy this past week during special visits from Marley, Mable, and Ari. Students cherished their time with these furry friends, learning firsthand about the vital role animals play in providing comfort and support to others.
