Today is Maintenance Worker Appreciation Day, and we’re recognizing the experts who keep our district safe, comfortable, and running smoothly.

Behind every successful school day is a maintenance team making it possible! 🛠️🏫
🔧 Fixing that "mystery" leak before it becomes a flood.
❄️ Tuning the HVAC so our classrooms stay comfy.
🛡️ Ensuring every building is safe, functional, and ready for learning.

Their best work is often invisible because they fix problems before they ever disrupt a lesson. We see you, we appreciate you, and we couldn't do this without you!

Help us celebrate this incredible crew! Drop a shout-out in the comments below! 👇✨

🎨 Art with a Heart 🎨

The WJHS Art Club recently took on a challenge to create a "meaningful story" through their work. Their muse? The one and only Mr. Daugherty.

Mr. D’s influence as a teacher and mentor radiates through our entire community. This beautiful tribute captures the gratitude we all feel for his years of dedication to our students.

Well done, Colts! We are so proud of your talent and the meaningful way you chose to honor a local legend. ✨

Leadership starts with taking care of the people who take care of our schools. 🧹✨

Yesterday our JCS Custodial Services Leaders spent some time at their Leadership Academy focusing on something incredibly important: mental health and stress management. Our team works hard behind the scenes to keep our environments safe and clean, and this training was all about ensuring they have the tools to stay balanced, resilient, and supported.

Huge thanks to our leaders for showing up for themselves and each other! 👏💪

👟 Step Into Kindness with Us!

It’s Kindness Week! This year’s theme is all about moving forward with empathy. Whether it’s a small gesture or a big act of support, every step counts toward a healthier, happier community.

To celebrate, we’re dropping our official "Mental Health Matters" T-shirts! 👕

By grabbing a shirt, you aren’t just spreading a message—you’re directly funding programs that keep our students safe and supported, including:
✅ Sources of Strength
✅ Anti-Bullying Campaigns
✅ Cyber Safety Initiatives

Every dollar of proceeds goes back into our district-wide mental health programming. Let’s walk the walk together.

🔗Get your shirt here: https://inkcave.com/product/you-matter-fundraiser/
Don't wait! The last day to order your shirt is February 22nd.

Today we’re celebrating National School Resource Officer (SRO) Appreciation Day — and the incredible individuals who help keep our schools safe, supported, and connected.

Our School Resource Officers are more than a badge. They are mentors, protectors, educators, and trusted adults our students can count on every single day. From morning high-fives and classroom safety lessons to quiet conversations when a student needs someone to listen, their impact reaches far beyond the hallways.

👮 Why we’re grateful for our SROs:
Safety First: They help create secure learning environments where students and staff can thrive.
Mentorship: They build meaningful relationships and guide students through challenges.
Daily Impact: They work tirelessly to ensure every child feels seen, heard, and safe.

Thank you to our SROs for being steady, positive forces in our schools. You don’t just patrol our halls — you help shape the future within them. 💙
