What an incredible trip to Columbus for around 25 of our West students from the History & Drama Clubs, plus a fantastic group of teachers and students from across all our elementary, middle, and high schools! 🎭📚 We explored the charming German Village, grabbed delicious bites at Brown Bag Deli, browsed the amazing Book Loft, and topped it all off with an unforgettable viewing of Hamilton at the Ohio Theatre! Big thanks to Mrs. Grogan and Mr. Botts for leading the way!

Advanced Placement (AP) scored were released this week and West High students once again killed it! - Over 400 AP tests were given to our students, in 20 different subjects. - WJHS scored above the Kentucky and Global averages in 14 of those 20 and above either the KY or Global average in 3 others. - Overall, 77% of our students scored a 3 or higher (passing score) on their exam. Well done AP students and our instructors!

Nothing says summer cleaning like the smell of fresh wax! Shout out to our custodial crew who is making sure West High is ready for the new school year, in just over a month! They detail every piece of furniture and remove it from the classrooms, scrub every floor, stairs, bathroom, lay fresh wax, and even give the gym for a facelift. Thank you, Colt Custodians!

West Families, Remind is gone and Parent Square is coming! Look for an activation email on July 28th. The only thing you need to do for now is make sure your high school students cell number is updated in IC, so that they can receive the direct communications. See the graphic below for how to update that information through your IC Parent Portal.

Congrats to Aly Doyle on completing her high school track and field career. She leaves West Jessamine as the most decorated athlete in school history. Beginning in middle school, Aly has compiled 11 individual state championships in the 100m hurdles, 300m hurdles, long jump, and indoor 60m hurdles. She was a key contributor on three consecutive state runner-up teams. She ends her high school career as the Kentucky state record holder in the 300m hurdles.
