GSP/GSA *VIRTUAL* Info Session is scheduled for September 10th!
What is GSP?
The Governor's Scholars Program strives to enhance Kentucky's next generation of civic and economic leaders. Established in 1983, the program provides academic and personal growth through the balance of a strong liberal arts and sciences program with a full co-curricular and residential life experience. Students must complete an application and compete with others from across the state. Those selected attend the program free of charge.
What is GSA?
The Governor’s School for the Arts is a program that started in 1987 with six disciplines:
Creative Writing, Dance., Drama, Instrumental Music, Visual Art & Vocal Music. The program is a 3-week residential program held at the University of Kentucky during the summer. Students accepted live in dorms and get a pre-college experience as they work on their craft! Attending the program makes you eligible for many scholarships at both in-state and out-of-state institutions!
*Link to join the Virtual Meeting can be typed directly into your browser, or you can scan with your phone. Link will be reshared on the day of the event.

WJHS is proud to unofficially share our new Academic Wall of Fame. Students will have their name added for meeting one or more of the following criteria:
- 32 or higher on the March administration of the ACT.
- Acceptance to the Craft or Gatton Academies.
- Entry to the Governor's School for the Arts or Scholars Program.
- Being a National Merit Finalist
We have so many students doing extraordinary things, this is another way to recognize that hard work.
We will do an official unveiling and reception this fall. At that time, each student/former student, will receive a coin commemorating their addition to the wall.
Go Colts!

Check out the opportunities to support our student-athletes this week! Go Colts!
