This is what collaboration in the arts looks like! 5th grade students from Brookside, Warner, and Red Oak came to watch the EJMS & EJHS bands and choirs to show kids how amazing it is to be in their programs. Well, done!

Mr. Hall's Intro to Law class was holding court last week! The objective was to determine if Alex was liable for the death of Jimmy. Alex hosted a MMA event at his warehouse where Jimmy's body was found dead in the parking lot. While the killer runs free in the dangerous streets of Scarborough, did Alex provide sufficient safety measures at his event?!? After careful deliberation the jury ultimately decided that Alex was liable. Congrats to the Plaintiff! 🧑🏻⚖️

Students in Mrs. Barnhart’s FCS Essentials class learned how to use the sewing machines and created pillow cases. What an awesome life skill to have that many students don’t have the opportunity to learn anymore. Great job! 🪡🧵

Students in Fashion and Interior Design 2 were learning all about color theory and how certain colors can complement a person. Students learned which colors they look best in and created a mood board with their own clothing designs to show off their color palette! Thanks to Mrs. Barnhart for such a fun project for these creative students! 🎨

Middle schoolers never cease to amaze us, and at WJMS, they've done it again—this time by asking for more opportunities to publicly thank their teachers! Whether it’s inspiring confidence in hands-on science labs, exploring the Colonial Regions with a sense of humor, or providing help with coding and micro-bits, we love that these JCS teachers approach each instructional moment with with intentionality, purpose, and joy!
