Our JCS arts teachers had a great PLC yesterday at the Jessamine County Public Library. It was great to be back together to work on pacing guides, collaboration, and touring the JCPL creative space. It's going to be a great year!

Check out the fantastic new structure that will provide shade for our Warner Elementary family when they return to school next week! Thanks to the incredible generosity of Warner's PTO, students now have a shaded outdoor classroom space right on the playground.

This new addition provides a flexible learning environment, protects students from the sun, and encourages more time outdoors for learning and play. We’re so grateful for our supportive community that helps our district enrich the educational experience and meet the needs of every student! 💙

Yesterday, our East Jessamine High School Student Services Team came together with all JCS student services educators for our annual JCS back-to-school retreat! It was a powerful day of collaboration, planning, and professional growth. We participated in meaningful training sessions focused on how to better support our students academically, socially, and emotionally, because every Jaguar matters. We’re entering the school year united, energized, and ready to walk alongside our students every step of the way. Here’s to a strong start and an even stronger year!

Great example of TEAMWORK, with JCS Custodial Services.
Exciting times for our district high school bands! Not only have both bands grown in numbers, but they're making great use of the new band towers! We love seeing the growth in our arts programs!

The JCS ESY (Extended School Year) Program received a special visit from Fire Station #1. Students had the exciting opportunity to sit in the firetruck and play with water from the hose. This visit tied in perfectly with their lessons on community helpers, and the students even wrote thank-you letters to our local helpers. What a fun way to end their school week in the sun!
