📝 5th graders shared their Codex writing projects with 3rd graders last week! What a special time for both grade levels to be able to collaborate and learn from one another!

🍁Our first graders had a blast at Eckert's Orchard on their field trip today!

✨Wildcat Buddies! ✨ Students spent time connecting with their Wildcat Buddy teacher and group while also making cards for Veterans! ❤️💙

Every morning at Warner each class participates in their own Morning Meeting. Students learn more about social and emotional strategies, like setting and achieving goals, showing empathy, and making responsible decisions. This is also a time for each class to build their class community! Check out these 4th graders working together to make their classroom shine with lovely artwork! Tomorrow, during Morning Meeting, students will get to meet with their Wildcat Buddies to help grow their connections with our entire Warner community! 💙

🧪🧑‍🔬5th grade students hard at work investigating properties of matter and chemical reactions using everyday chemicals and creating their own “goo” in a surprising chemical reaction experiment.

🐱📝Wow! Our amazing 3rd grade students were beaming with pride as they shared their informative writing pieces. Each student wrote about an animal, describing its classification and unique characteristics. Today, they took time to present these pieces to fellow students and adults in our school. It was wonderful to see their hard work and enthusiasm on display!

🍭 Did you know the famous board game Candy Land isn't just a fun, family game? 💖 It was originally created for kids recovering from polio in hospitals, giving them a fun activity while they were isolated. Our 4th graders connected with this history by: ✍️ Writing & reading personal narratives (including a powerful one about a girl with polio). 🎲 Designing their own board games to share their stories. 🍬 Playing Candy Land to analyze sensory details and dialogue!

Drawing, Determination, and Delicious Vocabulary! 🎨🍎

It's been a busy but incredibly fun week of learning for our 1st graders! We've been focusing on:

1.) Not giving up! Our students channeled their inner artists by drawing our favorite character, Pepito, during our social-emotional learning time. Look at that focus! 👀

2.) New words! We're diving into all things apples, which means lots of fun new vocabulary to learn. 🍏

East Jessamine High School's football team brought some Jaguar spirit to start our day. The Warner Wildcats will be cheering on the Jaguars at tonight's big game against West! 💙🐾

Our Girls on the Run groups is off to a wonderful start! This week they are focusing on having Bold Hearts, sticking up for one another and stepping out of their comfort zones! 🏃‍♀️

✨What a treat for our first graders! ✨ To celebrate the end of their unit on the Body Systems, we welcomed some amazing guest speakers into our first grade classrooms. They shared real-world insights and hands-on activities that brought all our learning to life! We're so grateful to our community members for sharing their knowledge and sparking curiosity. We love seeing this kind of learning come to life 💖✨

Huge thanks to the fantastic Jessamine County high school students from JCTC! They were absolutely amazing mentors for our 5th graders, helping them shine and make advertisements for their Entrepreneur Fair projects. The guidance they provided was truly invaluable! And a special shout-out to Ms. Anders, Mrs. Woodard, and Mrs. Guffey-your collaboration made this such a meaningful and memorable experience for all our students. Thank you! ✨

Happy Custodian Appreciation Day! 💙 Today we celebrate the incredibly hardworking custodians, Ms. Rachel, Mr. Marty, and Ms. Terrie! Their dedication ensures a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all.

💛 WOW! Our Warner family makes a difference in the lives of others through our annual Coins for Cancer project. Together, we raised $2,583.57 for Cincinnati Children’s Hospital to support pediatric cancer research! Over the last five years, our Warner family has donated a little over $14,000 to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in honor of some of our former Warner students who have battled cancer. Thank you to Mrs. Meeker for coordinating this special project each year and to our students and families for donating!

Our 2nd graders had a blast on their field trip to Buckmeadow Farms! 🍂

What an absolutely "fibula-ous" time our Warner Wildcats are having at "skull"! 🤩🏫 Our first graders have been learning all about the human body. Students are reading about different organs and their body systems. In science, students learned about the structure and function of their skulls. Students made observations and then created a "skull mask" that shares characteristics with their own skull!

❤ "A Grandparent is a little bit parent, a little bit teacher, and a little bit best friend."

Last night, our Warner Wildcats celebrated that special bond at our annual Grandparents Night! We loved seeing so many generations come together to enjoy the book fair, get creative with our group mosaic, and make some music with the boomwhackers.

Thanks to everyone who made this such a special event!

✨ Our 4th graders had a blast today on their field trip to the Lion Heart Experience! The powerful live performance featured music, visual art, and story designed to encourage and inspire each student to form a strong sense of self-worth!

This Wednesday, the whole family can enjoy the Lion Heart Experience!
