Yesterday, our Superintendent Student Advisory Council met with Mrs. Crum and Director of Operations Matthew Simpson for a conversation about keeping our schools safe. 🛡️
We kicked things off with a fun icebreaker - lining everyone up chronologically by age - see a sweet snapshot of our oldest and youngest council members together in the pics! 🎂📸
Our student leaders learned more about the protocols and daily measures in place for student and staff safety, shared valuable feedback from their campuses, and offered great ideas for future meeting discussion topics.💡
We are so grateful for their leadership and couldn't be prouder to have their voices helping guide our district! 🤝❤️

For the second year in a row, our Adult Education program has been officially recognized by the Office of KY Adult Education as the #1 ranked program in the state! 🎉
This milestone is a direct reflection of the hard work, dedication, and resilience of our incredible adult learners, as well as the dedication and efforts of our Adult Ed team.
In our district, learning doesn’t end with a high school diploma; it begins in our K–12 classrooms and continues throughout every stage of life. Today, four outstanding JCS educators got a big surprise! They were awarded the Jessamine County Ed Foundation Continuing Education Scholarship, and a $2,500 check to support their continuing education this school year.
Out of more than 100 incredible applicants across our district, selecting just four was no easy task. We are so proud of all our educators who applied, and we are thrilled to recognize this year's recipients!

A HUGE thank you to our amazing elementary School Resource Officers for coming out to support our All In for Ag Ed Week kickoff event! 🚜🌾 On top of keeping an eye out to make sure everyone stayed safe and secure, they handed out popsicles to help our students cool off on a hot day. ☀️🍦 We’re so grateful for everything you do to keep our school community safe, cool, and connected! 💙🙌

You may see emergency vehicles, first responders, and a MedEvac helicopter on-site near JCTC and JELV. Please rest assured that this is an educational demonstration and all part of the scheduled program.👍

We are thrilled to host the statewide kickoff for All in for Ag Education Week, also coinciding with National Farm Safety Week!🚜
As part of the event, on the morning of Monday, September 21, 2026, our 5th grade students will rotate through hands-on agriculture learning stations, and watch a demonstration of emergency personnel responding to a mock agriculture-related accident. 🚑
We're notifying our community in advance to ensure our neighbors and families are fully aware and not alarmed. If you are near the event in the area of JCTC and JELV on Monday morning, you may hear sirens, and/or see emergency vehicles, first responders, and a MedEvac helicopter, which are all parts of the scheduled program. 🚁
Throughout the week, students across Jessamine County Schools will participate in a variety of educational activities focused on agriculture. We are looking forward to celebrating the many ways agriculture impacts our community and our daily lives!🌾❤️
