We did it, Jaguars! As the 2023-2024 school year comes to a close, reflect on the growth you've made on both an academic and personal level. Remember you are cared for and valued by your East High family. We will miss you over the summer but we will look forward to seeing you again this fall!

We recognize that adjustments to the schedule are difficult, however, we are doing our absolute best to get everything in during a time that has some weather that is making it just a little more difficult. MAY 15, MAY 16, AND MAY 17 ARE MANDATORY DAYS FOR THE GRADUATING CLASS OF 2024. ANY STUDENT WHO IS NOT PRESENT, MAY NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE GRADUATION CEREMONY. On Wednesday, May 15, Seniors report at 8:50 to the window with the big E in the front of the school for our graduation walks at the elementary and middle school. Following the walks, seniors will report to the auditorium for senior check out. During check out (while all seniors are in the auditorium), we will show the graduation video so that the Class of 2024 can see it before the ceremony. Check out should last until about 1:00. Following check out, we will do the first half of graduation practice. The weather for Friday morning does not look great for us to be outside to do graduation practice on the scheduled day of May 17. Therefore, we are going to break up the graduation practice into two segments. One will take place on Wednesday, May 15 and the other will take place on Thursday, May 16. Students should plan on being at East Jessamine High School until at the latest 2:30 on Wednesday, May 15. We recognize that this is later than the previously communicated time for release, however we must get our practice completed. Any student who does not stay for the entirety of the May 15 and May 16 activities, may not be able to participate in the graduation ceremony.

On Friday, we interviewed nearly 70 seniors for the final stage of the Work Ethic Seal Recognition Program! We are proud of these students and the high standards they've maintained throughout high school. We will honor the recipients on Monday, May 13th with a recognition breakfast at East High.
