The JCS Key Communicators met tonight at Central Office. We had some great conversations centered around our community and kids! It was also a humbling realization to see the Eastside representation with such a great group! Take a look? See anyone you recognize? Class of 1998,1999, 2000, 2002, 2003, and 2013!

Mrs. Sumner's science class is taking off on an incredible learning adventure! Today marks the first day of their new unit beginning with the 2005 Ethiopia earthquake and its aftershocks. To kick things off, the students boarded a simulation flight to Ethiopia! With Mrs. Sumner as their pilot, a co-pilot guiding the way, and a student flight attendant serving a classic mid-flight snack, the classroom truly transformed into an airplane. This immersive experience is setting the stage for an engaging exploration of how tectonic forces shape our planet and the powerful role they play in earthquakes.

We woke up to a blanket of snow, turning our campus into a winter wonderland! Take a moment to enjoy the beauty, but don’t forget—we’re in the home stretch. Stay focused, tackle those assignments, and give your best effort as we wrap up the year. Let’s finish strong, Jaguars!

She is a role model to our students in the four character pillars that we encourage our students to lean into everyday: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Determined and Be Engaged. She goes above and beyond supporting her students day in and day out. This educator is a staple in our community and we cannot appreciate her enough!
