Today, our 8th graders took an important step toward their future during Operation Preparation! Through conversations with JCTC ambassadors, they explored pathways and course sequences that will shape their high school experience. This event encourages students to think critically about their goals, take responsibility for their future, and make meaningful connections as they prepare for life at EJHS. We’re excited to welcome the Class of 2029!

Congratulations to our 13 Jaguars who are advancing to the state level for the Governor’s Scholars Program! GSP is one of the most competitive opportunities in Kentucky, requiring students to showcase critical thinking, communication, a strong work ethic, and responsibility--all key pillars of our JCS Graduate Profile! We also want to recognize the students who dedicated their time and effort to this rigorous application process but didn’t move forward. Simply applying reflects resilience and determination, and we are so proud of your efforts. We’ll find out in mid-April who is selected, but no matter the outcome, our Jaguars continue to make us proud! Way to go, Jaguars! #JaguarExcellence #JCSGraduateProfile #GSP

Our Mural Club is making incredible progress at Brookside, bringing creativity and community spirit to life through art! Students are collaborating to design and paint a mural that reflects the school’s unique identity, demonstrating what it means to be a Connected Citizen. Through teamwork, problem-solving, and a shared vision, they are leaving a lasting impact on our Eastside school and inspiring others to take pride in their community. We can’t wait to see the final masterpiece!

In our dual credit history class, students are diving into the causes and effects of Westward expansion from 1877 to 1898, exploring its impact on the people, land, and economy. We always love visiting her classroom—there’s never a day we don’t learn something new!

Every quarter, our superintendent meets with students from both East and West Jessamine High Schools to discuss the issues that matter most to them. This initiative gives our students a platform to share their perspectives, ideas, and concerns, helping shape the future of our schools. We’re proud of these young leaders for stepping up and making their voices heard. Your input makes a difference, and we’re excited to see how your ideas continue to impact our schools and community! 🐾 #JaguarPride #WEareJessamine
