Just a few more white lies. 🫣

Landon's signing has been rescheduled and will now celebrate on Thursday!

Due to widespread illness and the snow forecast, we will have a traditional snow day tomorrow! Stay safe and warm, Jags! ❄️

No white lies here. None. Nada. Nope.

This week, we’re celebrating the incredible work of Sharon Mattmiller, our dedicated Youth Service Coordinator, for YSC Appreciation Week! Mrs. Mattmiller goes above and beyond to support our students and families, ensuring they have the resources they need to thrive. From providing essential services to creating opportunities for success, she is a true advocate for our school community. Her kindness knows no bounds, and her dedication to our students is truly inspiring. Whether it’s offering a listening ear, connecting families to much-needed support, or simply being a steady, caring presence, Mrs. Mattmiller makes a difference in the lives of so many. She embodies the heart of the Jaguar, reminding us all that education is not just about academics—it’s about lifting each other up and ensuring every student feels valued, seen, and supported. Join us in thanking Mrs. Mattmiller for her hard work, compassion, and commitment to our Jaguars! Drop a comment below to share your appreciation!

A great week of athletics ahead!

Not the outcome we hoped for, but the growth of this team has been incredible! For 12 of our 17 athletes, it was their first time on the floor at high school nationals—and they delivered a routine to be proud of! 2026 season, watch out. This team is coming for you!

Join us on Tuesday for Landon's signing!

Some new school records from our Track and Field team!

As we wrap up recognizing our school counselors, we want to give a special shout out to Mrs. Zabilka who is retiring this year. She means so much to us and so much to East. Simply put, she is what it means to be a Jaguar.
From a student: She’s very understanding with almost anything. Another thing that she does better than most, is regardless of the mistake I made, she doesn’t lash out at me and is very understanding. She will definitely be missed! I graduate from East this year so we can graduate together.
From a colleague: Mrs. Zabilka has been a staunch supporter of East teachers and students for years. She is always kind and upbeat and an asset to our school. What stands out most about her is her advocacy for students with diverse needs.
From an administrator: Every time I walk into Kelly’s office or see her in the halls, I am always greeted with a warm smile and kind words. With her gentle soul and caring nature, Kelly makes everyone feel welcome. She is incredibly patient and works diligently to ensure that all students feel heard, seen, and valued. With her retiring next year, I hope Kelly knows how much she will be missed! It’s truly hard to imagine the EJHS counseling office without her in it.
