Middle schoolers never cease to amaze us, and at WJMS, they've done it again—this time by asking for more opportunities to publicly thank their teachers! Whether it’s inspiring confidence in hands-on science labs, exploring the Colonial Regions with a sense of humor, or providing help with coding and micro-bits, we love that these JCS teachers approach each instructional moment with with intentionality, purpose, and joy!
Fun at the JELV Fall Festival! 🎃🧡🍂 Our CTSO students have been volunteering this week to create a fun experience for the JELV students through a corn maze, pumpkin patch, photo booth, and more! We are proud of our student leaders for getting involved with their community. Thank you to Ashley Waggoner, the JELV team, FFA, HOSA, FCCLA, and DECA for making this possible!

October is National Arts and Humanities Month (NAHM) in the United States. It's a celebration of the arts and humanities, recognizing their importance in American culture and society.
Some ways to participate in NAHM include:
1. Attend arts and cultural events in your community, such as concerts, museum exhibitions, theater performances, and literary readings.
2. Explore local art galleries, studios, and street art.
3. Take a class or workshop in a creative field, like painting, writing, or dance.
4. Support local arts organizations and artists by donating or volunteering.
5. Share your own creative work or favorite arts and humanities experiences on social media using #NAHM.

Happy School Lunch Week! Nutrient-rich foods provide the energy and focus needed for learning. JCS is fortunate to have an incredible food service team that goes the extra mile to ensure that our students have tasty and nutritious options to power their bodies and minds. Before break, our Transportation team was treated to breakfast with appreciation for all the hard work they put into getting our students to and from school safely each and every day. Thanks for all that you do to keep us moving forward!
JCS is offering 2 trainings for use of our district Sound and Tech Equipment.
If you would like to use any of the equipment at any point in the year for your program or school, the training is REQUIRED in order for you to be able to check out.
Only people trained will be able to check out and run the equipment.
We are offering 2 training opportunities:
Friday, October 18th 4:30-6:00 pm
OR
Wednesday, October 23rd 4:30 pm
