🇺🇸 Big words, bigger celebrations. 🇺🇸

Did you know America’s 250th birthday is officially called the U.S. Semiquincentennial? (Go ahead, try saying that three times fast!)

Festivities kick off with a tribute you won't want to miss. Join us for the Wilmore Salute to Service from June 11-13 as we honor those who served.✨

Experience the powerful sight of the 360-foot Traveling Vietnam Wall and other memorials as they make their way from Southland Christian Church to the Thomson-Hood Veterans Center.

Mark your calendars!

Congratulations to West Jessamine High School student, Allie Keck, who won the High School Best of Show for the entire state of Kentucky for her painting! Her work was considered Best in Show over all two dimensional categories. Painting, drawing, digital art, photography, printmaking, and graphic design. In sports terms, it is the equivalent of winning an individual state title in wrestling or swimming not just for one weight class or event, but besting them all. Basically she was named Mr./Mrs. Basketball of KY for Art.
Let's Go, Allie!

📣 National Speech-Language Pathologist Day! 🗣️✨
Today, we are throwing a massive shout-out to the incredible Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) across JCS!

Every day, our SLPs work tirelessly behind the scenes to give our students the ultimate superpower: their voice. From helping a kindergartener master their speech sounds to finding creative communication tools for non-verbal students, our SLPs ensure that every single child in our district is heard, understood, and valued.

To all of our SLPs, thank you for your patience, your expertise, and your massive hearts. You make our schools a better place to learn! 🎉

🌟 Celebrating Our Food Service Superheroes! 🌟
To the amazing team who preps healthy meals before breakfast and nourishes an entire school by lunch—we are incredibly grateful for our food service superheroes! 👏
They start their days early to ensure every student is fueled, focused, and ready to learn. In our deeply connected school family, they do so much more than make food—they serve up smiles and create a warm, welcoming environment where everyone knows they belong.

🎶 7 Years of Excellence in Harmony! 🎶

We are thrilled to announce that Jessamine County Schools has been named one of the 2026 Best Communities for Music Education by the NAMM Foundation! 🏆

This isn't just a one-time win—this marks our 7th consecutive year receiving this national recognition. Out of the entire Commonwealth, we are proud to be one of only 6 Kentucky districts to earn this honor.

This award celebrates our educators who go above and beyond to inspire, our talented students whose hard work and passion fill our schools with music, and our wonderful community that shares our belief that arts education is a vital part of student well-being and achievement .✨

Thank you to everyone who keeps the music playing in Jessamine County! 🎼
